Abi Tamot is a Vice President of Business Development at LionGuard Capital Management, where he manages relationships with investment advisors across Canada. In this role, he leads distribution efforts with a focus on the IIROC channel and supports advisors with product positioning and sales strategy.
With over 10 years of experience in capital markets, primarily in investment banking and capital raising, Abi brings a strong track record of managing key relationships and driving business development. His background includes working closely with both bank-affiliated and independent investment advisors, developing product strategies, and identifying new growth opportunities.
Before joining LionGuard, Abi served as Vice President of Institutional Sales at Roth Canada, a private investment bank, where he executed a wide range of capital markets mandates and worked with institutional clients across Canada, the U.S., and Europe. He began his capital markets career in sales and distribution at Canoe Financial and Sentry Investments, where he focused on raising capital through IIROC advisors.
As part of his broader capital markets involvement, Abi has also worked closely with public and private company management teams to design and implement marketing strategies aimed at improving liquidity and investor engagement.
Abi holds an MBA in Financial Management from the Sprott School of Business at Carleton University and has the CIM designation.
